The Value of Social Networking Access for Virtual Tours

February 29, 2012, 11:02 pm

Social Networking Facts

According to Digital Buzz Blog  as of 2011, there  are 500,000,000 active Facebook users.  That translates out to 1 in every 13 people on the earth!  Even more astounding is that HALF of them are logged in on any given day!

Getting more focused, 48% of the 18-34 year olds check facebook right when they wake up and half of those are looking at Facebook even before they get out of bed.  The older half of this group is the prime target of realtors as first time home buyers.

Realtors should relate to the power of social networking

So if 48% of the group of first time homebuyers are looking at Facebook as the first thing they are doing in the morning quality virtual tour developers should be dialed into this but I looked at my key virtual tour competitors in the San Francisco Bay Area and could not easily identify any social networking access on their virtual tour interface.  As a matter of fact, I couldn't find any access for social networking.

Social Networking support in Virtual Tour interface

Our virtual tour software developer, Real Tour Vision, has included prominent social networking buttons on their virtual tour interfaces since I have been a partner with them!  Not just for Facebook but for Twitter, Stumbled Upon, Linked In, Delicious, Technorati and six other leading social networking offerings.   These buttons make sharing through social networks a simple matter of clicking a button if you are already logged on to your favorite social network and "Voila", the tour is posted.

This is an UNBELEIVABLE feature that can increase exposure of the virtual tour virally!  Not only can the realtor post the tour easily to a wide range of social networks but all of the viewers can also post to their favorite social network.  No marketing exposure has as much potential as those buttons at the bottom of the Real Tour Vision virtual tour interface and no virtual tour software designer has committed as much to social networking as Real Tour Vision.
